1-to-1 coaching is the best way to get personal, focused training that fits around real life.
Whether you’re brand new to martial arts, returning after a break, or looking to take your karate or kickboxing to the next level, private lessons at Warrior Spirit let you work directly with an experienced coach on exactly what you need.
Is 1-to-1 right for you?
1-to-1 coaching is ideal if you:
- Prefer quiet, focused training rather than a busy class
- Feel anxious or self-conscious in groups and want to build confidence first
- Have a specific goal (grading, black belt, competition, fitness) and want to get there quicker
- Work shifts or irregular hours and need flexible times
- Are coming back from injury and want a gentler, tailored restart
What sessions can include
Every session is built around you, but common themes are:
- Technical coaching
Clean up your basics, sharpen your combinations, fix timing and distance, and improve your kicking and movement. - Self-defence & confidence
Scenario-based work to help you feel more confident in real-world situations, combining karate, kickboxing and practical self-defence. - Fitness & conditioning
Padwork, bag work and functional strength / cardio that matches your level – great if you want to get fitter but find the gym boring. - Grading & black belt preparation
Focused work on kata, combinations, drills and syllabus material with detailed feedback. - Competition preparation
Strategy, ring-craft, mindset and sparring drills tailored to your rule set.
You can focus on karate, kickboxing, or a blend of both, depending on your interests.
Trauma- and mental-health informed coaching
Our club is recognised as a Trauma and Mental Health Informed martial arts provider. That carries across into private sessions.
If you struggle with anxiety, low confidence, past trauma or neurodiversity, let us know (as much as you’re comfortable sharing) and we will:
- Keep communication clear, calm and predictable
- Set boundaries and expectations together
- Adjust how we teach and progress so sessions feel safe, not overwhelming
